If you haven’t already heard, the B.C. Liberal government have announced yesterday that they will be making changes to help British Columbians save on their new home. Starting tomorrow, you can save on the Property Transfer Tax on any newly-built home valued up to $750,000. That could mean a savings of up to $13,000!
To be eligible for this tax exemption you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and must live in your home for a minimum of a year after your purchase.
