In August 2020, the Edmonds neighbourhood welcomed a new full-service supermarket – courtesy of Buy-Low Foods.  The new Buy-Low is at the intersection of Edmonds Street and Kingsway, offering residents in the area a one-stop-shop for all of their grocery needs.  To make your grocery runs even more efficient, there are so many retailers in the area to ensure you can check everything off of your list in one go. DAYCARE

In conjunction with the City of Burnaby, School District 41 will be opening Stride Child Care Facility right next to Stride Elementary School. The future daycare joining the community will allow your kids to make new friends, you to run errands or just get some much needed “me-time.” With a daycare minutes from your home, you get to spend less time in traffic and more time doing the things that matter to you!

SKATING RINK

If you thought the community couldn’t get any better, think again. We are counting down the days until our highly anticipated ice rink opens up just one block away from Cedar Creek. Whether you’re a pro skater or a newbie, you can lace up and get your ice skating on as soon as February 2022. This ice rink will be the perfect place to practice your skills, have a skate-off with friends or play a friendly game of Canada’s favourite sport – hockey.
