Ledingham McAllister Wins Best Low Rise
We are absolutely overjoyed that Ledingham McAllister has been recognized by the Urban Development Institute Awards for Excellence 2014 not once, but twice for Best Low Rise for our Storybrook and Saltaire communities.
The Urban Development Institute (UDI) is a national non-profit association that dedicates themselves to working with developers, government, and the public to cohesively plan for the future of city development in British Columbia. The biennial UDI Awards for Excellence in Urban Development is the highest form of peer recognition for completed communities in the Lower Mainland and throughout British Columbia. These honours are awarded on the basis of sustainable building and landscape features, innovative design, marketing success, as well as livability of the community.
With this year’s unprecedented amount of entries for the Low Rise category alone (to the point that they had to split this category into three regions), this honour speaks volumes on the quality and care we invest in all our communities.
Taking home the prize is a great achievement but becoming a finalist is also no mean feat. Also recognized as finalists are the communities of Dominion in New Westminster – only to be beat by our own Saltaire – which we gracefully accept, as well as Storybrook as a finalist in the category of Best Environmental Innovation.
Thank you again to the judging panel of the Urban Development Institute Awards of Excellence for this honor and congratulations to all the winners at last night’s event.
