Hey Neighbour!

Ledingham McAllister is excited to announce that the Hillcrest Bakery & Deli, a prominent icon in the White Rock community since 1972, will be moving into Saltaire this summer!

Known for creating cookies and cakes shaped like everything from baby carriages and sombreros to guitars and comic figures, Hillcrest Bakery & Deli also has a reputation of being the only “from scratch” bakery in the neighbourhood.

Hillcrest Bakery operates with honest values and stands by their motto: “All our items are loving hand-crafted. If you’re not finding exactly what you want, contact us and we’ll create something just for you”. It’s no wonder that the White Rock residents who frequent the Bakery have become both loyal customers and friends with the staff—knowing customers by name is the norm at Hillcrest!

Starting from humble beginnings, David Moyer started working at the Hillcrest Bakery in 1988 and has grown with the business over the years. In May 2011, David and his wife, Sheana, took an entrepreneurial leap and purchased the bakery together. They have been the sole operators ever since and have grown to love the community that supports them in the White Rock area.

It comes as no surprise then, that a move to Saltaire will bring tremendous opportunity for this family oriented business and will allow it to continue to grow, while maintaining strong relationships with those who have been buying their baked goods since day one.
